A list of the most common time phrases to use when speaking Spanish

  • a eso de / sobre / hacia - around (Volvimos a casa a eso de las dos /hacia las dos /sobre las dos)
  • a tiempo – on time
  • en punto – on the dot 
  • exactamente – exactly
  • la medianoche – midnight 
  • el mediodía – midday 
  • a diario – daily 
  • a fines de – at the end of 
  • a mediados de… – halfway though/in the middle of…
  • a menudo – often 
  • a partir de – from
  • aproximadamente – approximately 
  • a veces – sometimes
  • ahora – now 
  • al mismo tiempo – at the same time
